Dialysis, damned if you do...dead if you don't 23 May 2018 07:02:07pm
After not finding exactly what I was seeking for my own collection, I decided to develop a set of US Christmas Seals album pages. They contain more varieties than the White Ace pages but not as many as the Denune pages; basically they have spaces for the major Scott seal numbers. On my personal copy the pages have the Scott number but of course if anything gets released to the public will not have catalog numbers on the pages.
So my question is this, is there any interest in this as a free PDF download if I do the work to remove the catalog numbers? Here are the first few pages to illustrate the format.
Those are very cool pages, Don. I made my own pages also, using Corel Draw v8.0. I bound my pages using the comb binding method. This allowed the use of any weight pages, but they can still remain flat. I printed single-sided just like Scott's Specialty Series. I wish I had seen your borders first tho....
to solve the Scott number copyright problem, why not use Green's numbering system.
OR you could just use the album pages that Denune has already developed and sells for cheap.
I don't know if the Green's numbering system is copyright; i can check if you are interested. it is a more comprehensive system than Scott's; it continues beyond Scott's end date; and it's more logical beginning with 7 rather than WX1, so that every year is immediately known.
But, I return to YES

re: US Christmas Seals Album Pages
There appears to be some interest, so I will post a download link in a few days after I finish the modifications. (It's been a crazy medical week and it has removed some of the wind from my sails.)
The pages currently go through 1990 but I am working on more recent years. Targeting the more recent years to be done in next few weeks.
Here is a scan of a page printed on nicer, buff colored paper.
I also have several alternate borders, so I will post links with several border choices.
Don
One suggestion. The illustrations appear to be the actual size of the seal. If one was to hinge the seal within the border then it would be difficult to completely hide the illustration. Or maybe I need new glasses.
And.... I would like to download the pages with or without numbers. Thank you for the monumental effort.

PS - Going to add printer's mark pages, progressive proof sets, etc? Just kidding!
copy55555; Yes, I originally designed the stamp frames to fit with mounts and did not consider that some folks might use the pages with hinged Christmas Seals. So I changed the frame margins to reduce the stamp images; so now you can hinge a stamp and it will cover stamp image underneath.
There are three page borders to choose from. The album pages currently cover years 1909 through 1979. I will release another version in the next few weeks that covers the more recent years.
