For anyone in the southeastern Massachusetts area!
For the first time ever, all eighteen of the student-created, HSP Holocaust-themed stamps collages will be exhibited> 14 to 16 will have been completed by the time of the event and the final two will be displayed in-progress. Full color reproductions of the collages will be available in sets of ten notecards. Proceeds from the sales will go toward the $4,000 needed to fabricate a UV, acrylic housing for an additional 1.5 million stamps (beyond the eleven million!) which are now being counted and will be displayed at the school as a permanent memorial to the (number of) children who were killed by the Nazis.
We will welcome special guest speaker, Lois Lowry, internationally-known author of the novel NUMBER THE STARS which inspired a class of fifth grade students to begin collecting the first of 11,000,000 stamps in 2008!
