I have a stamp in a glassine marked Great Britain 3b. I admit to not being able to tell the colors on these early GB stamps and am wondering if perhaps someone could tell. I realize it is difficult to tell from an image and am willing to send the stamp to you if you can positively identify it. PM me if you would like to see the stamp. Thanks!

Greg

re: Great Britain #3b?

Greg,

Greetings.
Scott #3b - lake red - would be a keeper!

The image appears more red brown (#3) or orange brown (#3a). I refer to the Stanley Gibbons Stamp Colour Key, which is useful - sometimes.

Cheers,
Wine

re: Great Britain #3b?

I'm kind of thinking the basic red brown myself. Thanks for the input
