Ran across this interesting item and thought I'd share.
I suppose it is just a color changling (normal color is green).
Was wondering if anyone else has any color changlings of this issue they would care to share....

i'm not a color expert, but i've never heard of green going brown, especially not a light brown. I wonder if this might be a color essay.

Although I have not experimented with this particular stamp color, I would say that it has been dipped in lye (sodium hydroxide) and has changed color. To verify, you could use another stamp and test yourself (sorry, I do not have lye in the house right now or I would).
