I just signed into Steiner's site. I see he issued some new pages on November 27. I clicked on the What's New. When I went to check a particular country, I see this same message.
"There won't be any new pages this month. My computer system got hacked and I still haven't fully recovered. No time for new pages. They will be back next month."
He does store some personal information on the users, such as addresses, you may want to go to your account information, and at the least change your password.
Hopefully the problems today aren't the result of another hack.
The Classic downloads are working but not the general country downloads.
But the site seems like a time warp when you see a comment like:
If you're using Internet Explorer or AOL, choose "Save Target As ...". If you're using Netscape Navigator, choose "Save Link As ...". In all cases, you then just follow the prompts to pick a location to save the file to on your PC.
I apologize for the error messages you’ve been getting when you try and use The Stampalbums Web. My internet web host provider is experiencing major problems. This is causing the error messages you’ve been getting. There is nothing I can do to fix the problem. We’ll just have to wait until my web host provider gets my website fixed. I’ve tried to get an estimate of how long this will take with no luck. I’d be very surprised if it took longer than a day or two. They host a lot of websites in addition to mine and will start to lose customers if they don’t get this fixed soon. So they’re working very hard to fix the problem.
Has anyone emailed Bill over the last 2 weeks and received an answer? I have sent several emails (different topics) and not sure if he received them, etc. Since he posted something, he has access to his computer.
I emailed Bill on New Year`s Day and received an answer today He was kind enough to enclose the two years of Norfolk Island stamp album pages that were needed.
