re: It's snowtime!
Here is the secret new US multimedia snow stamp...
I used a very different kind of graphics application to generate the snow; it allows you to define 'particles' to achieve special effects. You can assign physical attributes like gravity to the particles. This make effects like snow, smoke, and fire look very realistic.
Don
51Studebaker, nicely done but ours came down somewhat harder yesterday.
Garden mainly put to bed, some leeks and cabbage still to bring in.
Did not shovel too much, used the car to flatten the snow, makes it easier to use the snowblower later.
Thermals will come out shortly, supposed to be minus 17c tonight, sunny at present though.
Exton, Pennsylvania right now. No snow yet, still have some green on the trees but if I don't blow the leaves every weekend it will be a foot deep and then you can't blow them for nothin'! Guess I better get back out there!
Lots of trees and leaves here, too, Tom. I don't bother with a blower. I just use the mulching mower and use the chopped up leaves for mulch, mostly beyond the little stream that runs across the yard between those two biggest trees near the center. 2015 was a year when most of the trees decided to show off their colors in unison. An unusual year in that respect.
