Looks like the hurricane gods have finished wrecking the USA and Caribbean Islands. Now they're sending one to Europe!
"Hurricane Ophelia continued 2017's long streak of Atlantic named storms that have developed into hurricanes, becoming 2017’s tenth consecutive hurricane at 5 pm Wednesday. Ophelia will brush the southeastern Azores Islands on Saturday, and will likely bring tropical storm-force winds to Ireland as a powerful extratropical storm on Monday."
They say the last sub-tropical system to directly hit Ireland was in 2006. It was just a sub-tropical storm. This one is supposed to be a sub-tropical hurricane.
