re: Kelly Visits The Ottawa Shop!
I had a fabulous time. My 10 hour bus trip here was definitely worthwhile just for this afternoon. I truly enjoyed myself.
I came to Ottawa two years ago but we forgot to do a picture.
Wow David, my chair makes me look so tall and it wasn't even elevated.
Dayton quite enjoyed his afternoon nap and having time off from working - well ... most of the time! Lol

Lars - this is Dayton, he's my third service dog. He is very smart. He is officially trained to open doors, pick things up, help me get up and move me and also to help me change my clothes and dry me off after a shower amongst many other skills. He taught himself to also be a hearing ear dog because I'm Deaf and he taught himself to be a guide dog because I'm legally blind.
He's an apricot standard poodle but Mummy only knows how to do one hair cut - "shear a sheep" so he's got a poodle brush cut! Lol

Two years ago, when Kelly came to the shop, Dayton was with her. Same thing this time around. He is quite the service dog... he just hangs around and looks after her. He finds a corner near her and settles right in.
Kelly's chair raises and lowers itself with the push of a button.... yoga in a wheelchair.
SOR is quite the club... especially when we get together.

A yoga chair! That's a good one. I wouldn't have this chair if it weren't for many SOR members and others on TSF. It really changes your life when you can elevate your chair to get something out of a cupboard or a shelf instead of having to depend on others.

I truly enjoyed this visit to Ottawa. The highlights were my visit with David and the playground

Apricot Standard Poodle. Mummy knows only one hair cut "shear the sheep" so all my boys over the years have had one haircut "poodle brush cut."
Actually Emmett, my second Standard Poodle was also apricot and we discovered that he had about 1% of Airdale in him. I was allergic to him and couldn't figure out why since I hadn't been allergic to Cooper, my first Standard Poodle (black).
Dayton is 100% Standard Poodle with a poodle brush cut thanks to his beloved Mummy! LOL

it's lovely to see our children play.... even the ones with five doctorates.
I suspect that the aerdale quip was a play on Dayton's position relative to the ground... or perhaps that Dayton is both an important air base and home to company that built America's F111s. Or that you and he are playing above the Chips, which go well with Dales, or.....
I think i've had almost as much fun watching you from afar in 2-D as you did days ago in 3-D

re: Kelly Visits The Ottawa Shop!
One of my friends asked if I was embarrassed about being in my mid-40s and playing amongst kids that were 2 to 6. I said "Nope, just had to watch my language if I voiced anything out loud!" (My native language is ASL - American Sign Language as I'm Deaf).
I didn't care what it looked like - I was having fun! Even somehow managed to get that disc swing moving a few inches on my own. I was proud of myself. I figured out how to fo down that slide on my back by myself. It was great.
