About 2 years ago, I activated 2 Approval Books on Iran.
They were not very successful, and I assumed that there is little interest here for Iran.
But this discussion board has revived my interest, and I am thinking of activating a few new books.
I have noticed a few stamps that were under discussion ( scott 47-51) that did not sell. And were unchecked at the time ( I assume they were all suspect).
Now I know which one are real and I may rescue back a few unsold items for my collection.
Is there interest in Iran to try another crack at an Approval Book? Please let me know.

re: Iran approval Book

Ah...thanks to this site and discussion, I also have many that I plan on offering here soon. Still checking out the download thing..
And depending on what your offering You know I'm going to look. And please keep the asking price down here where the blue collar men and women can afford it. Unless you offer the real good stuff...

Well Lee...you and me.
Does not seem to generate enough interest to put another series of Iran Books. It is a shame as I still have some good material at low prices, but if no one collects Iran, what is the point?
The counterfeiters have killed the Iran stamp collecting market, I am afraid. (And the Ayatollahs, for more modern stamps).

Not that people don't collect Iran. I do, but I have just finished a spat of buying. Now I need to recharge the wallet for a little while.

re: Iran approval Book

I too tried Iran a long time ago, and I believe Michael was the only buyer as it was all MNH. If there is anything left from it I don't know where it is as I am reluctant to sell it on sites that list the invoice contents on PAYPAL. We of course do not. Did a 5 & 10 cent book and it did quite well, selling about 60-70%.

Greg, I'm curious. Why are you reluctant to sell on sites where PayPal lists invoice contents? It isn't something I had thought about.

re: Iran approval Book

I hesitate to put up any of the Iran stamps I have - because I am no expert and I can not tell an original to a fake. It is not worth my effort to create a book for them. Steve
