I purchased these and was told they were the Palestine 1920 varieties missing dot in Arabic overprint 1st character it is ebay item #272601752392 could someone take a look at it and tell me whether it is as is claimed?
I don't want to appear too harsh, but I think that if I was going to purchase a set of stamps for £115, that I would want to make sure to know exactly what it is I am looking at before committing to buy. Either by having the correct reference material on hand, or by contacting the seller for a more detailed explanation "Missing Dot in 1st Character RARE" is not particularly descriptive.
That being said, and bearing in mind that I am by no means an expert on Palestine Mandate stamps having only recently started collecting them, I don't see that particular variety listed in either Gibbons or Scott. However, that does not mean that it is not a listed variety found in a more specialised catalogue such as Dorfman or Bale.
At this point, I think that your best bet would be to contact the seller for further information.

If the seller is indeed Rushstamps, then the so called description provided is par for the course.
Despite them being a VERY well known and large retailer in the UK, they have yet to master the concept that words come free in an eBay description.
They put virtually no effort into their descriptions, in contrast to their sales conditions.
This website may help, it does show an extra dot in the top line of the overprint. Looks a good website to explore. http://www.zobbel.de/stamp/pal_19e.htm
