Hi Everyone,
I have noticed this evening that email accounts that are associated with ATT are having problems receiving email from Stamporama.com. The two email domains that I'm seeing so far are:
1. sbcglobal.net
2. ameritech.net
If you are using these email domains you will find that emails are not coming through to your inbox. You will also notice that your username is showing up in the list of users who are having email problems. (from the Discussion Board, look under the Home drop down menu for Email Probs)
re: Problems in receiving emails from Stamporama.com
I am on AOL and have not received any emails from Stamporama for some time. No doubt they are blocking the domain. I followed instructions to put the sending address on my contacts list, to no success. Still not receiving anything at all.
re: Problems in receiving emails from Stamporama.com
I received messages from 2 different members yesterday but I didn't receive an email informing me that I had a message. I discovered I had messages waiting went I went to StampoRama.

Richard (dakota),
Please check in your SPAM or Junk folders in your email program for the missing emails. I'm not seeing any emails bouncing back from your email address.
re: Problems in receiving emails from Stamporama.com
Here is the current (as of September 9) list of Stamporama members whose emails that are sent from Stamporama are being blocked by their email providers:

Hmmmmmm. I just cleared mine, but didn't realize I should have been getting any emails. I check in often enough that I don't think I've missed anything important!

Tim, in the "Stopping International Sales Here" thread you mentioned sending an email to all active members. I'm still not receiving SoR emails. Haven't seen one in many months. I've checked the "Email Probs" list and am not on that list even though I've got an sbcglobal.net email address. I've just checked my spam folder and there is nothing from SoR in that folder either.
What else could be causing the problem?
Tom

re: Problems in receiving emails from Stamporama.com
sbcglobal.net and all the other ATT&T subsidiary ISP's are notorious for blocking email servers according to rules that they don't share. Only yahoo seems to be worse.
Worst of all, they don't always send bounceback messages, just trash the emails without notification to anyone.

re: Problems in receiving emails from Stamporama.com
I have the same issue with AOL. I have conversed with them and they swear they are not blocking anything. I used to get messages from SOR but it suddenly stopped over the summer. People will say I should dump AOL email but I've had the same address for 20 years and tons of people know it.
re: Problems in receiving emails from Stamporama.com
Brian and Greg,
I have scanned the bounce back emails that come back to the Stamporama email server and I'm not seeing anything for either of you, which explains why you are not appearing in the list of members with email problems.
You are both receiving some emails from Stamporama, right?
re: Problems in receiving emails from Stamporama.com
Brian, Greg, Michael and anyone else who is having problems not receiving emails from the Stamporama system (apart from those who use an ATT associated email account as per Roy's post above),
I have created an email log that you can lookup to see the last 1000 emails that the Stamporama email system has sent you. This will give you the basic ingredients of the email, including what status was returned from the emailing process. A status of "Normal" means that the email was sent as it should. In other words, it successfully left the Stamporama server. A status of "Failed" means there was a problem somewhere and the email was not successfully sent from the Stamporama server.
To see the Email Log, go into the Members Area and you'll see a link to "Email Log" on the bottom of the left hand list of options.
This log will obviously build up very quickly and I'll have to put a limit on it with a clean up function, but for now we are in debug mode trying to work out why you are missing emails.
