I purchased a 1967 part set of Haiti stamps "Schweitzer Commemoration".
Stanley Gibbons lists 7 stamps ranging from 5c to 2g.
When I went to mount the stamps on the Steiner pages I noted that only 3 stamps are displayed 5c to 20c which means that there is no space in the Steiner album for the 4 stamps ranging from 50c to 2g.
On the assumption that Steiner is based on Scott can someone advise if Scott only shows 3 stamps in this set and if so why would the others be omitted?
If not what do I do now - does anyone know if Steiner have blank pages so that I can take care of the omission using the same formats.
For anyone else who uses Steiner can they advise if this is a normal occurrence.
The Steiner pages contain spaces for much more than just the Scott-listed stamps of major numbered stamps. For some countries you will find stamps that Scott doesn't list, but Gibbons, Michel and others do. There are even pages for stamps that are merely footnoted. Just depends on the country.
If Steiner pages were around when I first started buying Scott Specialty and International albums, I would have gone 100% with Steiner.

re: Steiner & Haiti Stamps
As a further endorsement, I have been converting my older Scott and Minkus (and yes even Lindner) albums and album pages to Steiner, getting rid of oversized mismatched albums and standardizing on 3 ring binders and 8 1/2 x 11 pages printed on heavier paper and housed in sheet protectors.
And you can easily print and add additional pages, customizing the titles. It really is the way to go (for me), although the lack of image and cat number can add a bit of work.

One of the enduring images I have from my long-ago visit with Steiner when he lived nearby was the wall of shelves filled with albums. Empty albums! As I recall, most if not all were being donated by people who were early supporters of his project. I remember him saying those albums were the basis for sizing the stamp boxes on his pages, but I suppose they may have also been the basis (or at least part of the basis) for going beyond the Scott catalog listings and offering a more complete set of pages than anyone else.

A couple of years ago I noticed that the Steiner pages resembled in many ways the economy album pages offered by Palo (interesting we left them off the list in this thread). I contacted Palo and asked them about it. They told me that Steiner adapts their page layouts for his pages.
Another enduring memory of my visit with Steiner was the tobacco smoke and smell. He was a heavy smoker and those old album pages, many from Europe as I recall, probably still reek. I hope he has quit smoking by now.
