Hello All,

I would be interested in hearing from members about what I term an explosion on eBay of various cosmonaut signatures on various covers from USSR and behind the Iron Curtain. Why now? Legit?

It seems there have been quite a few U.S. astronaut signed covers on eBay also but not as many, though there have been many, as the cosmonaut covers.

re: Cosmonaut Signatures On Various Covers

Bruce- I'm going to check them out and I'll post later my opinions. I checked out the cosmonaut autographs on e-bay. Some look like autographs that I received from cosmonauts over the years. Others do not look close to authentic signatures. It is hard looking at a scan to determine authenticity. When I sent for cosmonaut autographs, most came back from Star City in a cosmonaut envelope with a meter cancel on the return envelope. This tells me the signatures are authentic. Now the return envelopes come back stamped from Star City. I can tell you collecting cosmonaut autographs is a fascinating area. Email me directly if you have any questions.
