As you can see I have a misprint on a stamp from Lundy. Would anybody have any information on this stamp or on were I could find some further information regarding rarity and value.
I would call it "misregistration" where the second color doesn't go where it's supposed to. Value will be what others are willing to pay. It is not an error, per se, but would fall into the EFO category, which encompasses so much.
Let me know if you want more info on the production process that produced this. I'm not a Lundy collector, so couldn't speculate whether this rare or if others would pay more for it.

Interesting that apparently only the letters are doubled. In the EFO area, a color misprint usually involves the colors being out of whack. It might be worthwhile to have a regular stamp next to the one shown so we could evaluate the extent of the misprint. David's point about the miss-registration is most interesting to keep in mind.

I just checked my regular set and I measured the downward shift of the blue and white to be 3mm. It's not listed in the specialized listing I have just received from John Aitchison but will check the Labbe catalogue tomorrow.
Jon Aitchison's excellent Lundy catalogue provides a list of varieties on this issue including six for the 1 puffin stamps (4 blue colour shifts, missing blue, perf shift) but the only one mentioned for the 2 puffins brown is a very rare "missing brown" stamp.
actually it's NOT just the letters that are misregistered; the puffin appears to be in air, quite a bit higher than non-blue space reserved for him. it's the brown that's outa register, and the entire plate.

Are you sure it's the brown that's out of register? The brown seems to be centered where it should be when you consider the perfs. The blue, however is shifted down to the bottom perfs.
Closer inspection the brown LUNDY and the Puffin are in the correct position, it is the blue and the white that is out of alignment. If you move all blue including background and white lettering up approx 3mm it will look the same as the others.
