I am collecting and organizing my Canada flag cancels and have met with two words.
From 1897 to 1898 the flag cancels are referred to as * barred cancels* and from 1898 to 1902 the word *involute* is used to describe the flag cancel. Can someone more knowledgeable than I please tell me what this is all about ? What am I to look for in order to determine what type of cancel I have ? I`m thinking the barred is referring to a flag cancel with two heavy bars through the flag BUT not sure ??????
