I believe Richard was one of our oldest members. I always enjoyed his posts although he sometimes broke the rules here and on other discussion boards and had to be reprimanded.
So sorry to hear this. He did have a good long life!
Manalapan is a stone's throw from my home in NJ so I had hoped to visit him someday. I used to message with him.
Many years ago I attended a postcard show in New Jersey. There was one older vendor that all the other dealers unloaded his vehicle and set up his tables for him. I remember thinking how nice that was. Years later knowing of Richaard, I wondered if that was him!
Thanks, Bob for letting us know. I was beginning to wonder the same. The loss of his wife a few years ago hit him badly. I don't think he ever recovered from that. Their spirits are together again.

re: Closed Album: Richard Novick (Richaard)
I'm definitely going to miss Richaard. We knew things were becoming more difficult for him the past years but he kept to it.
He's been part of SOR for as long as I can remember and all his comments as he was quite an active member and a wealth of information.
He gave it all. He was so excited when he saw the post in the Rambler wishing him a Happy Birthday. The thread on which everyone wished him a Happy Birthday is one of the most beautiful threads I've read. It truly shows how much he meant to all of us.
I'll never forget our friendship.
Reunited with your wife, Richaard will never be forgotten by any of us.
Rest in Peace, our friend.

I just remember being so amazed that the guy could enjoy the hobby at such an advanced age. He was and is a total inspiration. Enjoying life doesnt have to end
I am deeply saddened by this news. Over the years I have communicated a lot with Richaard and considered him a friend. Richaard had a flair for wickedness at times and enjoyed having fun. His membership of Stamporama meant a lot to him and he deeply appreciated the friends that he had here. I'll miss celebrating each birthday with him. He took such joy in each birthday, I think celebrating the fact there he was still with us.

Tim - he had a wicked sense of humour, eh? You could almost see the twinkle in his eyes in some of his posts over the years and a vibrant imagination - he thoroughly loved Arthur and Philatelia, whose story was oftentimes on the brink of X-Rated! Lol

Coincidence is a weird thing. Like many other, I was also thinking about how we had not heard from Richard for some time and wondered if something was wrong.
He was a colourful character, bringing life to the discussion board. Always balancing on the edge of what was allowed and what was not, but in the end: he was a good guy who loved Stamporama and what it stands for.
We will miss his stories and the joy he brought here.
