Dialysis, damned if you do...dead if you don't 27 Jan 2017 01:09:34pm
Hi,
I collect US, WW, British America, Netherlands, Great Britain, Christmas Seals since 1974.
Medical issues forced retirement as VP of Engineering and partner at technology company but still work from home now. (Currently VP of Technology for a small R&D company and am developer and owner of a stamp web site.)
Question...under the member profile it does not properly accept my APS member number. It removes the leading zero from the number when it is saved; it is supposed to be 094826 but only lists 94826 after being saved. Can I just enter a 'O' instead of the '0'?
Don
Welcome to the club, we are a friendly lot for the most part and freedom of shared knowledge is a large part of StampoRama. Ask away and participate in the discussions, we all learn something most days.

Hi Don, Welcome to Stamporama. The dropping of the "0" in your APS number is because it stores the APS number as a number. Hence the dropped leading "0".

Don, Welcome to StampoRama! I've spent the last couple hours looking over your site and found it to contain much valuable information. I would reccomend that all StampoRama members bookmark it as it is sure to be of value to them.
Don, OK, I'll bite: why seals starting in 1974? That's pretty close to the time when others are abandoning seals, and nearly the exact moment Scott quits (I'll explain to anyone who wants to know why) listing them.
I collect seals, primarily tied to cover as well as Santa Claus Post.
and welcome
David
