It might just be me, but it looks like an offset print. Looking at the P & O of postage would make it a type 4 (scott 530). Can you verify whether it is engraved or offset?
First, you'll notice your stamp looks nothing like these examples. Note the visible cross-hatching in the background of the center oval in the examples. Now, look at yours and cross-hatching is not visible. Second, you'll note the double impressions are pretty striking.
