How do you know the difference between a high value and low value "Wilding" definitive from Great Britain? Especially the Carrick Castle (2/6d) 1955

The way you have phrased the question suggests you may have misunderstood the term 'high value'.

The Wildings 'high values' are any of the four denominations (face value): 2s 6d, 5s, 10s and £1, as opposed to 'low values', which are the denominations below 2s 6d.

These terms apply to any GB (and Commonwealth) issues.

Admittedly, the terms 'high and low value' are unfortunately unhelpful.
