Just added this page to my WW reference links:

Doesn't necessarily help with dead countries, but it does carry a lot of useful information for stamp identification and general geography. Not sure I'm brave enough to dive into those Arabic country names, however... Confused

As someone who has loved to pore over maps my entire life, this site is another welcome resource.

Nice link, thanks for posting. Users should keep in mind, of course, that the country names shown on the map are not necessarily the same as what is on the stamps; but still very useful.
