Cheryl- Do you have any NASA Local Posts in your collection? I have some covers I'd like to mail to you as I do not collect them. I will wait until Canada Post settles labor impasse. ApplauseHappyThumbs UpThumbs Up

re: Any local post collectors on board

To the best of my knowledge, this is how I describe a 'local post' - Stamps valid within a limited area or within a limited postal system. These can include town, cities and small 'dukedom' areas as well. Local post mail requires the addition of nationally or internationally valid stamps for further service. Locals have been produced both privately and officially.

Hope this helps?

yes, local posts are unofficial carriers who move a letter from one place to another, almost always with the help of the USPS, and, to be official, it must include appropriate US postage paying the rate for the service requested in addition to the local carriage.

re: Any local post collectors on board

First issue on July 21st, 1962. There were 11 issues through 1975 , one stamp annually from 1967 through 1975. Stamps were rouletted and most issued in sheets of 16. Can't remember if there were any issues after 1975 and most were tied into the annual Findlay Stamp Club show. The operator was Donald Yeager of Findlay, Ohio.

All of the issues were bi-colored and two were overprints on previous stamps.
