There were four plates for the 2d. which according to archival records, three were of copper and one of delta metal, three plates were Die 1 ("white hills"), and one plate was Die 2 ("dark hills"). The stamps were printed on Wiggins Teape paper.

Now that is a fine looking page of stamps/information. I plan on updating my page of these stamps with your fine data. The Australian DAVO album I am using is woefully lacking on any accompanying info. So your pages are providing much needed background.
Cheers,
Eric

Hi Eric
Ill be getting a better set of the John Macarthur stamps (rams) as the two reds are not centered correctly. I'm glad you liked the page.
I'm working on two others, another page(s) of the George V commemoratives, and one titled "AUSTRALIA AND THE OLYMPIAD IN STAMPS -A SHORT HISTORY 1956-2016". It will show every stamp Australia issued from the 1956 Melbourne Olympics to the 2016 Rio Olympics, all in glorious mint unhinged condition.
Australia issued pre-Olympic publicity stamps and since 2000 had issued special stamps, these will be explained in the short history.
