SoR does have a search engine. When you are on one of the Discussion Boards/Pages, access it through the top blue bar. There is a clickable link to "Search" in the blue bar. It returns queries by thread titles/links, so you can't always tell right away if the hit is useful or not.
If it were possible, it would be nice if SoR could incorporate the free Google Custom Search for this site.
"It returns queries by thread titles/links, so you can't always tell right away if the hit is useful or not."
And that is exactly why I don't use it. See here:
An alternative, is to select SHOW TOPICS, then page down to the category Middle East, under which is the sub-set (ALL) 31. Selecting this will show posts that contain the title ISRAEL.
If the title does not contain that word, or the poster has posted it under the wrong category, then you are stumped.
"If the title does not contain that word, or the poster has posted it under the wrong category, then you are stumped."
Pertinent to my comment; there is a post under category ASIA Other, with the thread title: Israel 2016 - New Issues. Selecting the wrong continent for a post, is likely to ensure it flounders unread after one day if not replied to and thereafter in a search by category.
Anyone finding a thread posted under the wrong topic can always contact a moderator, and if the moderator agrees, it will be moved to the correct, or better fitting, topic.
