Hey guys, my name is Chris Wright. I live in Panama City Beach, Fl. I've been collecting for the better part of 15 years and am a total stamp junkie. My primary area of interest is in pre 1950 Haitian and pre 1960 Trinidad and Tobago. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.
You will find collectors here that collect just about everything that can be printed on paper with or without gum on the back, i.e., a bunch of stamp collecting "nuts". You will find "common ground" here.
Don't collect any of those, but that's ok, sure someone here does. If you enjoy a good laugh and like stamps, this is the place to be. Don't take us too seriously and you will be ok. Welcome aboard. Join in the forums, have fun we are all stampaholics here!
It's always nice to find a good port of call, and you did. I collect Great Britain and Australia, and still maintain a world wide collection from earlier days. Speaking of earlier days, I was in the Merchant Marine in 1970 and the ship I was on pulled into the harbor at Port of Spain, Trinidad -- just for a day, to take on fresh food as I recall. Was able to spend a few hours in town, well, more specifically a couple of bars in the town. I did note very elaborate British government buildings downtown. Unfortunately lots of signs of poverty in the area as well. An interesting day.
Anyway, I am sure you will enjoy this club and the people. Also a good selection of stamps for sale or auction.
Hello, Chris, from Orlando. You will find a number of stamp junkies like you from the Sunshine State here! Welcome to Stamporama and we look forward to having you share more about your collecting interests here. There are a number of us for Florida who have gotten together and we hope to continue that tradition in the fall.
