Hi, I'm the new guy, smoothrik they call me ;-), been around for 71 years, phew! I'm a Danish citizen but live in this awesome country which I call home nowadays.
I haven't seen much mention about this issue that was printed 3 times, without any difference in the stamp printing, but that the sheets can be identified on the back with a small id/marking.
It also exist imperf, 4747a.
Anyway, I would like to see if anybody is aware of this and would like to go any deeper in the matter?

Smoothrik,
i was not aware. from your message, it seems the only differences can be discerned solely on the back, not on the stamps themselves.
was this three printings from a single printer? or three different printers?
i've never understood why USPS feels compelled to assign a single stamp to all these formats at multiple pritners. It must add immense expense to things to have all these different printers ramping up production

Hi,
I would be interested to find out if there are any discernible differences to the stamps themselves. If there are, I may have to make spaces for the varieties in my album.

[large]Nope, do not bother[/large] The only difference is on the back where it will have no extra marking on no.1. On no. 2 it will have a marking above the Plate Position that says V2 and V3 on third printing. That's it fellas ;-) I store mine in a stock-book.
