And here I thought it inconvenient that the bottom half-inch of every cover & postcard is reserved for USPS tracking barcodes!
It seems that Euro post operator Nexive puts their barcode on the part of the postcard that matters least: not in the address area, not in the message area, not on the image/art side of the postcard, but smack on the stamps.
Very practical

Yes, the twit got it wrong, it was the Nexive delivery arm in Italy that applied the barcode.
