Author Postings Martyn 11 Apr 2016 07:18:54amHi,
Hoping someone may be able to help identify a postmark which has me stumped.
It is on a 1968 6c. Efficiency Year stamp and what I can make out reads;
T.P.A.B'??RIV.ST
Possibly an R at the end, which would probably make it "something" River Steamer.
Any help would be terrific.
thanks
martyn

It appears to be "T.P.A. B'CE RIV. STR." so I agree it's a steamer TPO.
I believe here "B'CE" is short for "Berbice", a river and district in Guyana.
Here's a complete postmark that I found on the Internet:

Definitely agree with that although I couldn't make out the C and E I was leaning to Berbice as it was the only thing that I could think of that made any sense.
Now just need to work out what T.P.A. stands for.
Thank you nigelc for that picture as well.
