Another one from the "Bisects, Bisects and More Bisects" pages.
The basic stamp in this appears to be Turkey Scott 54. It is overprinted but the overprint is not to be found in Scott (At least when I looked). Any information even guesses would be appreciated! Thanks, biggeorge
I have been a member of SOR for almost 10 years now and I am continually amazed at the expertise that the members have! From Nigel beginning the ID of this Turkey item to Ted posting a copy of the detailed explanation of what this item is! Whether it is a question about why a stamp would have one or more straight edges or an esoteric question about an overprinted Turkish bisect for use at Baghdad. If an answer exists, SOR members will find it and are always more than willing to share it!
Thank you all for making this club a true asset in the philatelic world.
George
