A-Ra's Page of the Day Part V has become pretty large for quick load times so today I'm starting Part VI.
For today the country is New Zealand I've always been rather fond of New Zealand but have never spent much time on it. In the last couple months I have started to concentrate on it, hoping to bring it up to a high percentage of completion. Shown are the first three pages, however all the Chalons are not shown.

As with the other Baltic countries the stamps have a flavor all there own which is quite different than other countries. Shown are the first two regular issue pages and a semi postal page.

For today the country of Ethiopia My early Ethiopia is very weak. Shown at the top of the first page is the first set of Ethiopia. After that set there are around 80 stamps of the same set that are overprinted with various prints. I've found these quite hard to come by and only have a few of them. Since I don't care much for overprinted stamps looking for them is low on my list. The pages shown are all regular issues.

Yemen is the country for today. I have paid very little attention to Yemen as with most Middle East countries. Dunes have pretty much turned me off with collecting many of them. I'm only interested with the first 30 years of Yemen and shown are my first three pages.

Today the island nation of Malta. I have spent little time over the years working on early Malta as well as most British colonies. Lately I have been searching to add better items in hopes of having a decent showing someday. Last week I added the 5 and 10 shilling stamps (in mounts) to the first page of Malta. I'm rather fond of the Red 5 shilling as it is quite unique in Victorian heads.
Shown is the first page and a couple later ones.
I've noticed that the style of the album pages varies quite a bit. Do you buy collections, leave them on the original pages and then build them up? That's a super smart, economical way to go!

re: A-Ra's Page of the Day Part VI
Around thirty years ago when I decided to get serious about collecting world wide, I found that the Minkus Globals I had would not be adequate. I decided the only way to go was Scott Specialty albums. However they are very expensive but I quickly found out that I could buy used ones with many stamps in them for less than new. I started searching every where for them until I finally had most all of them. Around 90% of my collection is now on Scott specialty pages with Steiner pages printed on Scott Specialty blank pages to extend year end dates. I could not find all the Specialty pages so I bought some countries on other brands like White Ace (Canada, Vatican), Lighthouse (Israel) and even a hand made Russian collection. All things considered my decision to do this was perfect for me and I would have not done it any other way. Now I mostly buy parts of collection to get one stamp or more that I need and then sell the better duplicates off. This usually results in getting 2-3 times out of the dupes than I paid for the lot and keeps my collection growing with little to no expense. It also keeps my collection in a constant state of upgrading as well as keeping me familiar with the stamps.

Today Ajman A great many stamps have been printed without any postal authorization for Ajamn. These as well as others from countries or fantasies in the Gulf of Oman area are
unfavorably known as dunes. Shown on these first three pages of regular issues are the only regular stamps from Ajman that are considered authentic postage stamps as recognized by Scott.
