I have to give the USPS credit - the round stamps for the global rates are actually quite clever. And the newest addition - the full moon - is a nice design. Now if only they would soak!

BTW - just checked. This one isn't currently available imperf.

The USPS "cancel's" all the values on their pics of stamps - paranoid that criminals might photocopy the image and use for postage perhaps?

Actually it's federal law that requires the cancellation bar across part of a color picture of an unused stamp that is illustrated at full size. The purpose for the law is exactly as you stated.

Its a Nice stamp. May have to buy some. I Use Pure Citrus air freshener to remove the stamps. Spray the back of the paper the stamp is on. Then running the tongs under the stamp. Then i scrape the glue off with my perf gauge.
