This is the last stamp in my "unknown" envelope, for now anyway. I cannot read the origin/too faded. I do recognize a "P" in the lower right. Poland perhaps? Does anyone recognize the symbol or design? The perf has the letters "PMKB", but it was made to be recognized from the back of the stamps, before it was used, which I find interesting.
when it was issued, Deva was part of Hungary; Today, as the Pastor notes, it's in Romania. I don't know how cities can travel so far, but they do. Plate tectonics?
Oh, wait, no, it was Versailles, yes, the treaty of Versailles

Good memory, David. In WW I, Hungary was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, one of the Central Powers along with Germany and the Ottoman Empire. Romania was allied with the Triple Entente (France, Great Britain, and Russia, late joined by the US). Since Romania's side won, Romania got a large chunk of the Hungarian part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire as spoils of war.
