Lovely stamps and variety. Great metal wear pattern.

At least the printer lived up to his name. Blushing

Thanks smauggie, it is a very difficult variety to obtain especially in this condition. McCracken sure did live up to his name (I should have noticed the pun to his name when I bought the block).

Thanks Tim, they sure are an eye opener. There are 4 to obtain, the one shown is a late crack (intermediate); the block of 4 kangaroos I will be getting in a month will be what is known as an early cracked plate under the imprint variety; the early varieties are not as long.

The other two will also be an early and late cracked plate where the crack of both goes through the imprint.

All 4 together will make them very rare, the latter 2 have not surfaced as yet for me to collect, but the stamp specialist I know promised me first choice if the latter 2 become available.

Hopefully I will not be in for the long wait; he said that the block of 4 shown in the above post is the finest he had ever sold in 18 years (he's been in the business 35 years).

I will post the next cracked plate variety when it arrives.
