Author Postings Ningpo 04 Feb 2016 05:07:04pmThis arrived today from Eetalee, complete with a whole gaggle of stamp fodder. I am not amused, as the tight wad seller has used stamps denominated in Lira and not Euros. Or am I over-reacting?
Anyway, the question is; are these still valid for use, or have these snuck through the wonderful Italian postal system undetected?

The Italian Post Office web site, http://www.poste.it/ , says, for both mail within Italy and for abroad:
I francobolli con il valore espresso in lire o in lire/euro possono essere ancora utilizzati...
i.e. stamps with values expressed in lire or in lire/euros can still be used...

I suppose they must have some sort of published conversion table for this purpose?
