Hi Everyone,
A number of people have asked for a way to hide their email address, so I have made a change to the "Willing to Correspond" flag on your membership profile. It now gives you three options:
1. Yes - I'm willing to correspond and emails are fine
2. I'm only willing to correspond by Stamporama Messages
3. No - I'm not willing to correspond.
If you select Yes, your email address will be shared with other members, but don't worry your email address is never shared with the public.
If you select 2. or 3. above, your email address will not be shared.

Thank you, Tim for making this change.
And a big thank you to Ken (TuskenRaider) for coming up with this idea and sharing it with me!

will the auctioneer and member secretary have access to the emails regardless of choice? members don't always check PM (some never do, or aren't on the site regularly) and it would be useful to have multiple means of corresponding.

Members who sell in the auction/approvals, and who take PayPal, are advised to either setup a PayPal link to their auctions/approvals or check #1. Without the link or your email address, you risk a delay in payment.

I assume by a person hiding their email address the invoicing system will not be affected and members will still receive their invoices?
Once a person pays an invoice or receives a payment from PayPal, the seller and or purchaser will have the other person's email address as PayPal shows this information in a transaction confirmation email and in your PayPal log of transactions made.
If you are making purchases and using PayPal as a means of payment and do not want your private email address to be known I suggest you set up a separate email address just for PayPal transactions.
