Rhinelander Support the Hobby -- Join the American Philatelic Society 19 Nov 2015 09:02:56pm	With much fanfare ebay is offering the premier German post-war stamp; the 2001 unissued Audrey Hepburn stamp: Audrey Hepburn stamp auction The auction which just started is going for nine more days if you are interested I believe this is a single from the sheet of ten sold for Euro 430,000 in 2010. I remember that this was considered a disappointing result at the time. We'll see if someone made a smart investment as (s)he is now disposing of the stamps individually. Login to Like this post

Thus the reason the stamp was not issued. According to Scott, 30 of the stamps were never recovered prior to destruction. Four are known to have been used for postage.
