For the second time (admittedly it is not that often) money sent from a buyer went to a non existent paypal address. Instead of yahoo.com it went to yhoo.com. Has anyone else experienced such a problem?

I was the sender, and I used the link to PP on the invoice received. This takes you straight to the PP site where you log in and click on 'Pay Now.' You don't enter the pay to address or the amount - these are supposedly picked up through the system. I've sent several payments to the same PP account this way with no problems before, and there's been one since.
Tom the other odd thing with your payments is that they do not reflect in the SOR invoice log as being sent. I get the notification from PAYPAL but when I go to the SOR log it doesn't say anything. I better buy something to see how the whole backend payment system works!

When a seller sends an invoice, the buyer gets instructions in the invoice message:
"Please click here to view the invoice.
To mark the invoice as "paid" after you have sent the money, please click here.
When you have received the invoice shipment in the mail, you can acknowledge the receipt of the shipment by clicking here.
"
The buyer is expected to confirm payment, and to confirm receipt of the items bought. The confirmations are not automatic, such as SOR auto-updating the payment.
