I just got the Eastern Auctions catalogue for their next auction. I never thought I'd ever see a 5c Connell come up for auction. What an amazing stamp - cv $20k. WOW - it would be cool to see what it actually sells for

re: New Brunswick 5c Connell
Sure is a beauty. Maybe because it's one of the "untouchables"

re: New Brunswick 5c Connell
Hi! I am a very recent joiner of Stamporama and have been reading through some of the early posts. I have been a serious Canada collector since 1972 and I have an arbitrary cut off date of 1988 since that's all I can get in my Harris album. I collect Canada ( with BOB) including the provinces along with some other countries. I have a want list and the stamps listed in red are over $1000 - I call them unaffordable, even though occasionally I do pick one up. The Connell stamp is in red!! I am now to the point where I need 110 stamps to complete the collection, 34 are in red print. The last stamp I picked up was a very nice used copy of NS #5 with perfect borders. I was originally going to try to keep Canada current but they issue so many stamps now that that is not really possible. I know of someone who collects the world, keeps it current and has to add a new album every year - totally insane!
