I'm a young (ish) collector (26 years old) of general worldwide issues with special love for those from certain times and places; the Russian Revolution and immediate Civil War and its immediate aftermath, above all, followed by pictorial sets from the British, French, and Italian Colonies. I'm, like many of you, attracted to the art and history of these little objects.
While I'm no means new to philately, I recognize I've still much to learn as about the hobby as I do about the stamps themselves.

That's interesting, I spent a few years upstate growing up, with my mother.
She still lives up there, and in Poughkeepsie of all places!
I spent two weeks in the Adirondacks between August and September four years back-loved it!
Welcome from someone who escaped upstate NY (Binghamton area). I was there for six years, and hated it. Spent lots of time in Ithaca, Syracuse, and the City, as much as I could.
