Have a few of the complete 1972 Wedgwood booklets that are BK144 in my 2013 Scott catalogue but cannot find a catalogue number for the 1/2p left side band.

Am I just missing it or is it not listed as a single stamp?

Best wishes,

Brian.

Brian, Scott lists the UK booklets rather weirdly. Below the booklet listing Scott provides the contents of the booklets. These are the booklet panes contained in the complete booklet. You have to go to the booklet panes that are listed under the single Machin stamps for Scott #MH34a and #MH34b. The booklet panes under #MH34 are cross referenced under Scott #MH34 to Booklet #BK144. There you'll find that the 1/2p from Booklet #BK144 is #MH22.

Another thing to add to the list for when I buy Scott!

Thank you very much for your response Michael.

Do you think that most machin collectors in the United States use Scott or do they quickly move over to say the Gibbons Concise catalogue or?

Best wishes,

Brian.

I believe Charlie would say that the Deegam catalog / system is the best machin reference. Lots more detail and a rational numbering system.

This is a postally used cover with the 4th Wedgewood pane DP-20 with the SG #842 lb ½p in the lower right corner. I think I recall it as an FDC.

Je ne parle pas Scott
The Gibbons number is SG 842
The Deegam number is based on the color/value and would be DG 05.1.1, or thereabouts. I'm travelling and do not have the disc at hand.
