yes, this is Scott 300, from 1902. it was the work horse for post cards. One of our members, Doe Lion, specializes in the stamp on cover.

Thank you! I'm in the process of trying to identify my stamps. I'm going to my library today to see if I can check out a catalog! I am very new to this. My parents gave me a lot of stamps that belonged to my grandparents and they have no information on any of them! Thanks again!

That is the 1 cent value from the Series of 1902, even though it was issued until February 3, 1903. It's known as Scott 300 and was sold in sheets and booklet panes, Scott 300b.
