I was given this cover for assisting a coin collector in making sense out of an inherited stamp collection. It is a Fist Flight/First Day of the 1935 clipper Trans Pacific issue (San Francisco - Manila). Obviously philatelically prepared, there is a pencil notation of 75c in the upper right benewth the first stamp, indicating to me that the correct rate for the San Francisco-Manila route was 75c. Is this correct? Or was this cover over paid?
