APS #220693 ATA#57179 05 Apr 2015 08:12:18pm | I think I asked this at StampWants a few years ago and didn't get a definitive answer. Perhaps someone here knows:
Under 1905a, Scott Specialized (2011) states:
"Untagged stamps from plate 1 come only Bureau precanceled with lines. Untagged stamps from plate 2 come both without and with Bureau precancel lines; values are for non-precanceled examples."
I have never been able to find a plate #2 lines only precancel of 1905. Does such an animal exist, or is that simply a mistake in the listing?

Thanks, Kim! I had always wondered if that was a mistake. Durland seemed to indicate that plate 2 was only on the C press, untagged, and without precancel bars, but the Scott footnote was in conflict with that assessment. Thanks for the PM to send the revised footnote.
Mystery solved!

Not only was the footnote corrected, the confusing listing was also "corrected".
The 2015 Scott US Specialized has the corrected listing/footnote. The 2013 still has the error. I don't have the 2014 to compare.
Sorry, I must have missed that post on SW a few years back. Glad you asked again.
