Hi everyone,
I have about a dozen of the postal cards shown below. They are all from different cities and all First Trip cancels. Some have a "Trip 1" on the cancel and others have a "Trip 2." Also, some have the franking from the actual city PO that processed it on the back.
I know it's Jefferson and I found US Scott #UX39 and UX40, but those are dated 1952 according to my US specialized catalog. The cards I have are all dated 1949 or 1950. Any assistance is much appreciated!!
(If anyone needs to see more scans or scans of the back, just let me know)

re: Highway Post Office on Jefferson 1c postal cards
I know those are revalued, but I didn't know if Scott recognized these as "First Trip" cards anywhere. Does that make a difference in value or is it just an interesting thing?

Very interesting. I had totally forgotten about that previous discussion. So, the moral of the story is, they're pretty cool for people who collect them!
By the way, David, you have two links in that previous discussion that no longer work. One I think is because it wasn't linked in it's entirety, the other (the first one) just shows up as a blank screen on my computer. I'm moving this thread to US - BOB and other for people to enjoy!

You indicated all the cards were either dated 1949 or 1950, but you've misidentified the 4th card down from the top, cancelled 15 Oct. 1946 Jackson-Benton Harbor.

I hadn't looked through them, I was just generalizing. I looked them up in Scott, realized they weren't there and posted them here for more information. When I catalog them, I will study them far more closely and make sure that I get the dates correctly. Thank you.
