Image Not FoundWow, this Whale beached itself in my mailbox yesterday, but thankfully I was able to resuscitate it and managed to get it in the house where it will find a new home in my album.

Hi---to add to the last post the $10 Blue Whale is the highest denominated stamp ever issued by Canada Post--the previous high denomination was the $8 Grizzly Bear issued in 1997.The large size 128mmX 49mm (for those who think in metric) was is, as previously mentioned the largest size stamp ever issued by Canada Post--they felt that the large size was fitting for a stamp depicting the King of the animal Kingdom (thier words)
Extra security features were incorporated into the stamp to prevent fraud.Take a look at the stamp under UV light--this introducesa whole new dimensionto the design.

MNH is fine but I have all the three big size Canadians in used sheets - the $8 Grizzly and the $5 Moose. These came as postage on the Unitrade catalogs that I ordered from FvH Stamps of Canada - well worth half the price of the catalog.
The $10 Whales used sheet I bought here at auctions, see below:

Now I am looking for used $2 Polar Bear if it was issued in sheets of 4, the Horse and Flacon sheet of 4. There were some earlier high denominations issued in panes of 8 that I'm missing, the $1 and $2 Olympic issues (Sc. #656-657) both varieties on normal and dull paper. Also #687-688 panes of 8 on normal and Fluorescent papers. Maybe I will get them here at SOR auctions!

The mint pair is truly beautiful; got this for my goddaughter and it is the highlight of her dolphin and whale stamp collection.

Cheers,
Peter

Wiggy,

Use your photo editor to reduce your image to no more than 900 pixels wide and 96 dpi, should upload fine after that.

Thanks Bobby, your advice worked ... the auction listing process did not inform me that my image was too large.

Tks, Wiggy Thumbs Up
