Far Eastern Republic 1920 - 1921. This was a weird buffer state between the Russians and the Japanese. Didn't last too long though. Annexed by the Russians in 1922. The 7k on 15k imperf value cats at £1.10 mint and used. However the old 2nd edition Gibbons I use was published in 1974 so has probably gone up since then. You will need someone with a more modern cat for a realistic price.
Have fun Tim2.

re: Far Eastern Republic: stamp identification
A fascinating and little known period of history;
Far Eastern Republic
and; Siberian intervasion
which explains why American Marines and Army technically invaded Russia, .....twice !
There are similar sources that detail the forces in and around Archangel on the western borders of Russia.
The movie Dr. Zhivago has references to those events and I think one of the last scenes was in Vladivostok

actually, the intervention included Brits too, and was really an effort to regain immense amounts of ordnance initially intended to help the Czar fight the Kaiser that the Bolsheviks wished to keep, even they had signed a treaty with the Kaiser to stop fighting; and the Allies and Americans wanted it back. At the same time, Allies were trying to extricate a huge number of Czechs (part of the Austro-Hungarian Army) who were POWs and represented the largest organized force in Russia.
