re: State of New York stamp.
I have a Scott's US Specialized catalogue and the only state revenues listed there appear to the the "duck stamps" or hunting revenue stamps. All other state stamps must be listed somewhere because I am pretty sure I have seen Scott's numbers listed for some of them. With all the US experts out there I'm sure someone can put you onto the right catalogue.
I don't think they have a huge value, I have several of the sames types of New York stock transfer stamps you show and paid very little for them. Good luck!
Actually, these are not listed in any Scott catalog and therefore
don't have Scott #'s.
Go to;
http://myplace.frontier.com/~ktk.lange/NewYorkStockTransferTax/NYSTT_album.htm
...then scroll down the page to the bottom image; you will see a sample of an album page -
note the numbering of the images.
These were catalogued by The "State Revenue Society - State Revenue Stamps Catalog"
and this is their numbering system.
I have an album for these, as I am a state revenue collector. I acquired my pages from this site, which are very well done. I would highly recommend them.
For the most part they are extremely affordable and are relatively easy to come by.
I would strongly recommend you use this site for identification purposes, as Kurt Lange (site owner) has done a wonderful job with it.
A word of mild caution;
they can be a challenge to properly identify all the potential variations!
(...but isn't that the fun of it?!?)
I have literally hundreds of these which I have yet to sort through. Came with a US Revenue collection that was gifted to me. Thanks for the links to the NY State Revenue stamps Musicman.
