I doubt if anyone can help me with this question, but here goes anyway! I have seen a copy of 130a (no certificate) that I am curious about. If you know the stamp you know it is the 1912 - 1924 Admiral 3 cent red imperforate horizontally, perforated 8 vertically. It has to be sold as at least a vertical pair. The pair I have seen has a straight left edge, a perforated right edge and huge salvage at the top with no perforation separating if from the top stamp. What I don't know, and can't find a picture of, is how these stamps were issued. Does anyone know what a sheet of these stamps looks like. I'm curious about the straight left and the large top margin. Can anyone help, the stamps are a reasonable price and that makes me a bit suspicious. I'm tempted to go with the maxim "if it's too good ..." but if I knew how the sheet was set up a decision would be easier.
Addition: It can't be part of a booklet pane and I have found several using Google from the series of 3 set up the same way, so it's possibly OK (?).
No straight left but a dealer (Arpin) had a a block certified and noted with left perfs cut off

Sforge - That helps a lot, I've also seen several online with straight left, and sometimes right, edges. The cost for the item I'm thinking about is $250 - if it's still available tomorrow ( one night to consider! ) I'll probably buy it, certificate or not. It's from a person I've bought from before and he's always been fair. If I make a mistake the only person to blame is me! It would make my Canada collection complete after #33 up to my cutoff of 1988 except for the Port Hood Provisionals of course. I'm still missing a few BOB and some provinces but Canada itself is fine after #33. Some stuff before that is unaffordable though. I met a person once who said his wife had a complete Canada collection except for three stamps. That person could not be collecting Scott numbers, it's possible I think if you use SG Stamps of the World(?). Thanks for your help!

It's too late for anyone to tell me how stupid I am, but I bought the stamp. I'll proudly display it as 130a and I am looking forward to it. The dealer is someone I've got great stuff from in the past and that means a lot to me. If he hasn't burned me yet, maybe he never will - knock on wood! I'll send a picture when I get it since I'm still procrastinating about setting up my camera!
