The truth is within and only you can reveal it 08 Feb 2018 08:28:05pm
The other day I got around to scanning my telegraph stamps from my U.S. B.O.B. Collection.
Far from complete there is still a pretty good selection which I doubt many have seen.
They are in order as issued.
Do any others collect telegraph stamps?
I have about 20 mounted on Steiner pages and about another 25 or so waiting to be hung on pages. I don't think I have ever specifically purchased any Telegraphs, picked them out of BOB mixtures over the years.
It's still there but the link is a bit different: https://www.stampparaphernalia.com
It seems to have much of the same content with a wide selection of back of the book pages under the US Full Color Stamp Album Volume Series as well as the various series of Back of the Book stamp pages!
I have no idea why these attracted me years ago but I've been a huge fan of them for quite a while. Not to toot my own horn but if I ever get the final 16 in my remaining want list, my US scott-listed collection will be complete. I'll get some images up here later.
I've also more recently started looking into collecting booklet panes but that will take another lifetime just for those.
I highly recommend Bill Rink's pages. He's got a great website for telegraph and telephone stamps at
http://telephonestamps.com/telegraph-stamps/
and offers a catalog and album pages that are very sharp looking.

re: U.S. Telegraph stamps
klange, Those are nice and ones I don't recall seeing before. I look forward to see what else you have. The U.S. as well as the rest of the worlds telegraphs are stamp I just get when it's a very good deal on usually larger runs. Otherwise I don't go after them.
klange, if you're like me, instead of counting sheep you count those want list items when trying to get to sleep! I'm down to 5 stamps to complete my colonial DWI collection, all of them obscure varieties. But then, there are some other outlandish combos to consider, like maybe the straight-tail 2 on a normal frame 2c on 3c overprint...with the wedge flaw?! Love the twofors and threefors!
Antonius, love the early telegraph stamps, but they seemed to get uglier and uglier with time. Until, they went out with a Samuel-F-Morse bang! Gotta hand it to the 19th century engravers: they can make even a mundane numeral striking!
There's no doubt that Western Union was the leader of the pack and they also issued the most of the US Telegraph Stamps. Here is what their entire series looks like:
