I don't think that I've posted this image before, and I don't have any profound comments to make about the item, but I thought some members — Tom, especially — might like to see it:. I'm not even sure what to call it. Perhaps an "illustrative card"? It has a couple of minor bends in the upper- and lower-right corners. I don't recall where I found it.
This is one of my favourite sets of American stamps. I have a short set of used stamps in sound condition, missing only the $2 Madison issue. I especially like the 5-cent Lincoln stamp — here's a scanned image of the reproduction on the card (at the left) and an image of a mint copy of the stamp from Wikipedia:
That's a decent reproduction on the card, but isn't quite like the real McCoy.
Here's copyright information on the back of the card:

re: 2nd Bureau Issue "illustrative card"
These are Voncorp "Educards". Offered on eBay at prices from $3 to $25 each but successful sales seem to occur in the $3 to $5 range. There are over 100 different.

Thanks for posting that Bob. I agree that the Series of 1902 is my favorite definitive set. There's just something very period about those ornate designs. I don't know how USPO went so plain in the next series!
